A Lake Country resident since 2010, Marybeth Hewatt is the Owner/Operator of Lake Dog • Oconee. Marybeth resides on Lake Oconee with her husband, Chris, and they have three children, Cody (28) & Karlee of Athens, GA, Connor (22) currently attending the University of Georgia and Jackson (17) a Senior at Gatewood Schools. Their family is completed by 3 dogs – Dixie (Yellow Labrador), Harley (German Shorthaired Pointer), and the newest member, Oakley (English Pointer).
 
In addition to being a wife, mother, and business owner, she volunteers countless hours to Gatewood Schools lending her time and talents to help improve the school and campus for today’s students and for generations to come. When not at their son’s sporting events, she enjoys taking sunset cruises on the lake, nights by the fire pit, weekends browsing local boutiques and antique stores with friends, attending local events, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs!
